Marina Manager
Lauren has over 30 years’ experience in the luxury hospitality sector. She began her career at 15 at the five-star Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath, progressing to senior management. She then spent ten years as General Manager of the award-winning Queensberry Hotel and Olive Tree Restaurant. After relocating to the New Forest in 2015, Lauren managed New Park Manor Hotel and Spa, before a spell at Cunard and later joining RSYC. Outside work, she enjoys family life with her two teenagers and two dogs.
Assistant Manager
Max has sailed from Russia to the UK, across the Biscay, up to Scotland and completed a circumnavigation of the UK in a 6m RIB. After graduating, it was natural to join MDL, working across many of MDL’s South Coast marinas building his broad range of marina skills. Now, he is enjoying the fast-paced superyacht world of Ocean Village. When not at work, Max is a foodie and off-piste skier.
Receptionist
Indigo started working at Saxon Wharf in late September 2024 as Receptionist, before moving over to Ocean Village. She enjoys engaging in face-to-face customer interactions and embraces new challenges. Passionate about helping others, she’s currently studying for a Sustainable Development Masters. Indigo is thrilled by MDL's commitment to the environment and creating a greener atmosphere. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and traveling.
Administrator
Prior to working at Ocean Village, Jordana worked at Carnival UK for two years and gained a wealth of knowledge in the travel and cruising industry. Jordana joined MDL in April 2024, where she plans to expand her knowledge into the yachting industry. When not working Jordana spends a lot of her time with her friends and going on weekend trips away.
Marina Operative
After 25 years working on superyachts, Max decided it was time to move ashore – and what better place than the prestigious Ocean Village, where he can stay close to the sea and the yachting industry he loves. During his time on superyachts, Max travelled the world in a variety of roles, ultimately serving as Master. Drawing on his maritime background and five-star service experience, he is now excited to bring his skills to his career with MDL Marinas.
Night Dockmaster
Mike has worked at Ocean Village since 2010 and spends free time going to gigs with his son and watching Norwich City FC where he is a season ticket holder. Mike loves watching the sunset at Seatown Beach, Dorset, which he travels to in February every year and has done for the last seven years.
Marina Operative
Since a young age, Roy has been around boats and has always had a passion to work on the water. Originally from south London, he and his family relocated to the south coast 6 years ago and, after 40 years in the motor trade, has decided now is the time for a career change. In his spare time Roy gets out on the water as much as possible, has completed many RYA Courses including Coastal Skipper and Commercially Endorsed Powerboat Level 2, and is a Powerboat Instructor.
Night Dockmaster
Sean originally worked at Cobb's Quay Marina in Poole for six months before transferring to Ocean Village Marina in late 1997, where he's been ever since. Prior to being with MDL, Sean served in the British Army with 1st Battalion The Royal Hampshire Regiment.
Marina Operative
Tara joined Ocean Village Marina in April 2024 and previously worked in administration for over 25 years. In her spare time she likes to take walks by the water and spend time with friends. Tara has her RYA Competent Crew qualification and is hoping to get back out on the water this summer.
Seasonal Marina Operative
Laurence grew up in and around the Solent, immersing himself in the boating world from an early age. With a lifelong connection to the industry, he enjoys spending time on his family's 8m RIB, exploring the coastline and open waters. A member of Warsash Sailing Club in Hamble. Beyond the water, he is an avid skier, always seeking new slopes and adventures in the mountains.
Seasonal Marina Operative
Rhys joined MDL in April 2023. He currently studies Engineering and Design and spends his free time cycling and climbing. When he's not outside by the water, Rhys enjoys watching films and tinkering with electronics.

Will joined the MDL team in June 2025 as a seasonal marina operative. During his time with Ocean Youth Trust South (OYTS), he was introduced to MDL, where he discovered the ideal workplace to build his future career in the maritime industry. When he's not working; Will enjoys sailing on the River Itchen and powerboating, embracing life out on the water.
