Silent Yachting is extremely proud to present the world premiere of JR Yachts' beautiful new 100% electric picnic cruiser at MDL's Green Tech Boat Show in Plymouth.

The Classic 7 from JR Yachts as the name suggests, has a stunning classical style whilst also being jam-packed full of the very latest technology as you would expect, including the construction of this beautiful picnic cruiser. With a state-of-the-art underwater hull, making the C7 the most efficient electric sloop on the market, whilst all her components have also been selected specifically to ensure she runs as quietly as possible. Her clever design helps to minimise the wake from the boat, further protecting the banks from erosion and ensuring you can sit back and enjoy all the joys of Silent Yachting with family and friends.

Constructed from vinyl ester resin with sandwich core construction, this gives the C7 a greater stiffness and huge reduction in weight, not to mention a more durable superyacht finish. This ensures that the C7 is both stronger and lighter than other sloops currently on the market, and also makes her a joy to tow with an average sized family car as the C7 weighs in at a featherweight 850kg empty.

As you would expect the C7 has some spectacular features making her the perfect picnic cruiser. This includes her drive by wire system with haptic feedback ensuring you feel connected at all times, with the option of full joystick control if required. This allows you to easily move effortlessly in any direction with a simple push of your joystick in the desired direction. Manoeuvring is made easy, even if single handed in front of a crowded dock with sub-optimal conditions.

With a choice of battery packs and drive trains, the C7 has a range of up to 120km (64 nm), which is more than enough for a few days exploring. With the ability to be away from the dock all day it was important that the C7 had a small private toilet cabin, which located in the bow of the boat with plenty of storage and fridge options to allow you to enjoy the maximum time on the water with a glass of something nice. As standard the C7 comes complete with a sprayhood, which allows for some protection from the elements whilst the “window” can also be rolled up to allow a breeze of fresh air through if required. With an option for a foldable bimini on the stern, the C7 also has as standard an in-built ladder on the swim platform.

Not forgetting the Classic 7 needs zero engine maintenance and has zero fuel costs giving its owner more time to have more fun with free time but also cutting vast running costs for a rentals business. Available as standard with a choice of hull colours both inside and out as well as well as a choice of cushion colours to complement your boat as desired.

Pricing starts at only €57,440.00 ex VAT. With the first boats all selling from plans alone. Contact silentyachting.com for more details on the Classic 7 or to arrange a viewing this summer.

The Green Tech Boat Show at Queen Anne's Battery is open to the public 17-18 June and you can book your free ticket to see the Classic 7 and much more at mdlmarinas.co.uk/gtbs.
