Woolverstone Marina Berth Holder News

We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you for berthing with us this year, for what has been another busy and enjoyable season.

Marina Improvements

In April this year we completed our marina dredging programme, enabling continued access within the marina and your individual berth.

We invested in an Events Marquee and hosted a number of successful food vans including Pizza, Curry and Fish & Chip nights.

We also implemented traffic calming measures across the site to make it a safer and a more enjoyable experience for all.

We’ve recently installed eight brand new lodges in the lodge park and purchased the ‘Cat House’. This is currently undergoing repair before being added to our rental portfolio. Next year we’ll be introducing a family-friendly nature trail across the site. We’ll also be continuing our investment in security with the installation of a new entry barrier.

New Staff Members

We welcomed two new members to our team this year. In August 2023, Barrie joined us as a Marina Operative, having spent the past 6 years as a bus driver. Prior to this, he served over 18 years in H.M. Armed Forces, firstly in the Royal Navy and then in the Military Provost Guard Service. Barrie enjoys getting out on the water whenever the opportunity arises.

Russell joined us in the summer as a Night Marina Operative, and although relatively new to the marine industry, he is thoroughly enjoying it and is keen to learn. He is ex-military with a strong background in security including door work and close protection. In his spare time, Russell enjoys venturing off hiking and camping.

2024 Events Calendar

In conjunction with the Woolverstone Marina Berth Holders Association, we’ve got another comprehensive and exciting events calendar planned for 2024. Keep a look out on our Facebook page and around the marina for details. If you’d like to see a particular event next year, please let us know using our online form.

With Christmas just around the corner, there will be festive treats at the marina during the entire month of December, so if you’re visiting be sure to enjoy a treat or two.
