We’re seeking partnerships with independent marinas around the coast of the British Isles to expand our cruising network in the UK.

With free visitor nights at over 160 marinas in France, Spain and Portugal via Passeport Escales, we already offers our berth holders unparalleled cruising throughout Europe but we’re keen to develop this further to elevate our customers’ on water experience.

Using Atout Ports software and Passeport Escales branding to enhance the Passeport Escales service it currently offers, we’re looking to work with like-minded independent British marinas to substantially increase the cruising area available to our customers through the scheme, and ultimately enable them to circumnavigate the UK.

“As part of our digital development, we’re integrating Passeport Escales into our systems so MDL users can apply for the scheme via the MyMDL Portal on our website,” says Tim Mayer, our Sales and Marketing Director.

This integration opens up greater possibilities for us to expand and offer independent marinas the opportunity to join us in offering our collective customer base a larger cruising network in the UK.

“Not only will this add value to a marina’s berthing packages, but the participating marinas will also see increased footfall from the visiting sailors, bringing additional income to onsite food and beverage operations and to tenant marine service providers.

“It’s a win win for all involved, and we’re inviting any independent UK marina who’d like to offer its customers free cruising around the UK to get in touch now.”

Set to launch in April next year in time for the 2024 boating season, we’ll be supporting both the UK Passeport Escales marinas and their customers with a dedicated UK support line.

Marinas interested in partnering with us and joining our Passeport Escales scheme in the UK should contact Tim Mayer via t.mayer@mdlmarinas.co.uk.
