Welcome to Windsor Marina Winter News

We’ve had a very busy season at Windsor Marina this year and it has been great seeing so many boaters, new and old, out enjoying the river. Our onsite tenants have also reported how busy they’ve been - Boat Discovery has been actively selling boats all season, many of which have taken a mooring with us, and AM Marine Trimming have been very busy offering their great service, supplying and repairing canopies.

We’ve had some new faces at the marina, and we’re delighted to welcome Iona, Finlay and Chris to the team, who all work between both Bray and Windsor supporting the marina operations on an ad-hoc basis. They are keen to assist you in any way they can, so please stop and say hello when you see them.

Sadly, we are now starting to see the last of our visitors, and as we draw the season to a close, many of you will be planning on wrapping your boats up for the winter or perhaps having them lifted for some winter maintenance. If so, Bray Craning will be able to assist you with your plans at Bray Marina, or if you plan on keeping the vessel on a trailer at Windsor, please book this in with a member of staff. Don’t forget, if you’re on our Berthing Plus Otium package, you get 8 weeks inclusive storage ashore which should give you enough time to get through your list of jobs. If not, please contact the marina office for assistance.

You will have heard about the lock closures by now, many of which are slightly more flexible than the original announcement, so hopefully you will still get a chance to take the boat out this winter, river conditions permitting. If you do get a chance to go out and don’t want to go too far, we’d recommend a meal at the Mediterranevm restaurant located at Bray Marina. If you haven’t already been there, you will not be disappointed.

We, the marina team, will be continuously walking the site and keeping an eye on your boats over winter and if we see anything that needs your attention, we will of course call you straight away. We do however encourage you to pop in regularly to check on your boat, particularly inside the cabin, the bilges and ensuring the battery levels are topped up.

Christmas is now firmly on the horizon and there will be festive treats at the marina for you to enjoy, so if you’re visiting be sure to pop into the marina office and enjoy a treat with the team. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and we look forward to another great season ahead!
