Welcome to Queen Anne’s Battery Winter News

We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for keeping your boat with us this year, for what has been another busy and memorable season.

Marina Improvements

We’ve started our winter improvements program at the marina. Work has commenced on pressure washing, starting from the northern pontoons of the marina and working southwards. At the beginning of next year, we will move into the facilities area, refreshing throughout ready for the start of the season. In early December, work will commence once more on the annual breakwater repairs taking us through the worst of the winter weather. We hope you are pleased with the improvements, and we have lots more planned over the winter period. If you do notice anything not quite right at the marina, please report it to the marina office so we can put it right.

Winter Housekeeping

As we go through the winter months, the dockmasters will continue to check your vessels mooring daily. Whilst we do replace damaged mooring lines due to the inclement weather and advise accordingly, we would ask that you replace your summer lines with heavier ropes for the next few months leaving any spare lines out in an accessible locker. We are more than happy to use them on your behalf and advise that we have done so if needed.

Car Parking

Since we introduced the new parking control at the entrance to the site in May this year, the system now seems to have stabilised and is working as it should. We’re sure you’ll all agree what a big improvement it has made from the previous system, both visually and in its operation.

Site Tenants

This year we have had several new tenants and new owners of existing businesses join us. They range from new boat sales, marine engineers and an alarm company, to new operators of the café which we can thoroughly recommend. We have, as many of you will already be aware, opened the first green gym in the country that converts human energy into electricity. If you would like to join, please contact Matt White our Fitness Manager using this form, who can set you up with a fitness program that suits your needs.

Events calendar

Whilst the pandemic has put a stop on social events, we hope to see them return next year. Keep a look out on our Facebook page and around the marina for details. If you’d like to see a particular event next year, let us know using our online form. Don’t forget you can also join The Even Keel, our online boating community, and organise events and discuss the latest in boating with fellow berth holders.

Christmas is now firmly on the horizon and there will be festive treats at the marina for you to enjoy, so if you’re visiting be sure to pop into the marina office and enjoy a treat with the team. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and we look forward to another great season ahead!

Best wishes from all of Queen Anne’s Battery Team

PS If you think some of your friends at the marina are missing out on news from Queen Anne’s Battery and would like to be kept up to date, why not suggest they sign up to our emails? Just a quick call to the team in the marina office and we’ll add their details to our mailing list.
