We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for keeping your boat with us this year, for what has been another busy and memorable season.
The Ketch Rigger Restaurant
It’s been lovely to see the doors of the Ketch Rigger open this season. They have worked hard to stay open and welcome berth holders to their restaurant. If you’re planning a visit, it’s best to book as far ahead as possible to avoid disappointment.
Marina Improvements
Over the last few months, we’ve been busy making improvements to the marina. We are fitting new water heaters into the facilities. More environmentally friendly, the new water heaters will be electric and we’re increasing the capacity of the tanks to ensure a supply of hot water is readily available when you use the facilities. We’re in the process of changing the waste bins around the site and hope the new set up will improve waste disposal around the marina. Maintenance dredging between G and F pontoon is taking place in December. If you notice anything not quite right at the marina, please report it to the marina office so we can put it right.
Hamble Point Marina Team
We’ve seen changes in the Marina and Dry Stack teams over the past year. We’ve welcomed Nick Blois and Sarah Whitcher to the Marina team, and they’re quickly becoming established in their Dockmaster roles and getting to know you all. The Dry Stack team has seen Alan Dalton joined by new team members Matthew Elvin, James Slater-Smith and Stephen Hall. They are all fully trained and looking forward a new and busy season.
Events Calendar
Whilst the pandemic has put a stop on social events, we hope to see them return next year. Keep a look out on our Facebook page and around the marina for details. If you’d like to see a particular event next year, let us know using our online form. Don’t forget you can also join The Even Keel, our online boating community, and organise events and discuss the latest in boating with fellow berth holders.
