Universal Yachting to premiere the Dufour 44 at boot Düsseldorf 2024

Universal Yachting, who are based at Mercury Yacht Harbour and Holiday Park, is thrilled to be attending boot Düsseldorf 2024 in January. At the show they will reveal the highly anticipated Dufour 44, the latest addition to the exceptional Dufour range. This new model promises a heightened onboard leisure experience, and attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to discover its innovative features firsthand.

Following swiftly on from the debut of the Dufour 41 at the 2023 Southampton Boat Show, the Dufour 44 exemplifies the brand's focus on continuous evolution and modernisation. While building upon the success of the 41, the 44 introduces exciting features that enhance the overall lifestyle experience without compromising the impressive sailing performance synonymous with Dufour Yachts. The remarkable expertise of the design team at Felci Yachts fully accentuates these qualities.

A genuine 44-footer, boasting an overall length of 13.91m, this model aligns with the most sought-after size range and is tailored for the discerning UK market; ideal for both weekend, family sailing and those venturing further afield. Available in four layouts, the three-cabin version, with either a linear or forward galley configuration, is anticipated to be a favourite amongst private owners.

In contrast to designs from just a few years ago, contemporary hull shapes have evolved for the beam to extend considerably forward and aft into the transom. The Dufour 44, boasting a 4.45m beam, exemplifies this trend. These modern bow shapes, reminiscent of a "scow," enhance sailing performance, provide greater comfort at sea and contribute significantly to the increased volume above and below decks. This results in a spacious interior designed for comfort and functionality, complemented by expansive cockpit spaces and wide deck areas. Heading below, you might easily mistake being on board a much larger yacht, thanks to the bright, airy interior and generously spacious accommodation.

Remaining faithful to Felci's tradition of featuring a single rudder, the Dufour 44 distinguishes itself as one of the easiest yachts to handle in the marina and at sea.
