Sparkes Marina Berth Holder News
We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for keeping your boat with us this year. We hope you’ve had a great season and have been on many fantastic adventures. Here are a few of our highlights:
We started the year with the new Dry Rack area groundworks commencing, which continued across spring and summer, and is now fully operational with dry berthing packages suitable for either rack or trailer customers. This has proved a very positive move for the site and is proving extremely popular with more development planned for the future. This does also mean we can now lift boats up to 9m (weight dependant) using our forklift, which means your boat can be ashore for any maintenance works that you need to complete. Good news all round!
Across the summer months we saw the marina busy and bustling with visiting vessels and while here, taking advantage of Drift: Hayling Island which held quite a few themed event nights that proved very popular - keep a lookout for more of these coming up. As well as Drift and their offerings, our Trolley of Treats was also out doing the rounds on the main weekends of the year and the weather held up for a few good runs down on the pontoons, which went down very well!
With winter fast approaching, we look to complete our usual annual marina maintenance and prep the marina for the 2024 season to ensure Sparkes is looking its very best.
In 2024 we’ll be having more social events than ever before, so please keep an eye on the pontoon poster boards and also our Facebook page where these events are advertised.
