Northney Marina Berth Holder News
We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for keeping your boat with us this year. It’s been a year of change and transition for the Northney team, with several new faces joining us.
Tom and Rob were introduced as our new management team, both dedicated to delivering the best possible experience for our berth holders at Northney. Jo started as Administrator, Sergey and Joseph have been settling into the roles of Day and Night Marina Operatives respectively and Wayne and Zinzan have taken over operations in the yard.
The wheels are in motion to get our events calendar up and running in full swing. October saw a well-attended ‘Meet the Managers’ event, with many berth holders giving interesting and insightful feedback for the new management team to think about. Our next event will be a Christmas Social in the Berth Holders’ Lounge, where we hope to welcome many of you to celebrate the festive season.
The chandlery closed it’s doors in 2023, which presented the opportunity for a berth holders’ lounge. We now have a welcoming space for guests to come and relax, work and socialise as they please, with improvements still being made. The Marina Office will also see the convenience shop reinstated, with many of our berth holders mentioning how much they miss this service. A range of convenience items, food and drinks will be available as well as some boating essentials.
In recent months, our yard has resumed a full lifting programme. The team have completed all the necessary qualifications and are quickly gaining experience lifting and launching and are committed to providing the utmost care for your boats. Our new workboat is also nearly ready to be launched and we’ll be running a ‘name our workboat’ competition, so please keep an eye out for this.
We’re excited for the 2024/25 season and can’t wait to continue our events calendar, with the Trolley of Treats making regular appearances! We hope to see you in the marina very soon.
