Confirming its status as a 5* marina, our Ocean Village Marina has won the ‘Marina of the Year’ accolade at the British Yachting Awards 2023.

At a lively ceremony at the Royal Thames Yacht Club headquarters in Knightsbridge, London yesterday, Marina Manager Lauren McCann accepted the award on behalf of the marina team from Ocean Village.

The people’s choice, Ocean Village Marina was voted as Marina of the Year for its exemplary level of customer service providing an excellent customer experience for berth holders and visitors alike.

I am absolutely thrilled that Ocean Village Marina has won this prestigious award, it’s a true testament to the hard work that the team put in on a daily basis, ensuring the best possible service and experience for our customers.
Lauren McCann, Manager of Ocean Village Marina

“The fact that this award is voted for by members of the public makes it all the more special, and we can’t thank them enough for their support.

“We’re extremely proud of our Ocean Village Marina. Over the years it has become synonymous with ocean sailing, with many iconic races starting and finishing from its deep-water basin in the heart of the city of Southampton. And more recently, it has become the home of MDL’s South Coast and Green Tech Boat Show, actively supporting the marine industry and our drive to make boating as sustainable as possible.”

Our South Coast and Green Tech Boat Show, 19-21 April 2024, was also nominated for a British Yachting Award in the ‘Event of the Year’ category.

A 326-berth marina, Ocean Village Marina is the UK’s first and only 5* marina. Within easy reach of the renowned waters of the Solent, the marina can accommodate sailing yachts, motorboats and superyachts up to 60-metres.

The marina is home to a £50m luxury spa hotel complex, the city's tallest building and surrounded by shops, bars, restaurants and a cinema, its waterfront is bustling and sophisticated, where eating out or enjoying an après sail beverage is as much a part of the boating experience as the on-water adventure is.
