Hythe Marina Village Berth Holder News

We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for berthing with us this year, for what has been another busy season.

Marina Improvements

Over the past year, the 17th Port and Maritime Regiment Army divers have visited us for environmental works. We’ve also been busy planning the annual lock shutdown, which is due to take place late January / early February (dates to be confirmed). The waiting pontoon is currently under refurbishment to keep disruption to a minimum.

The replacement of some of the marina piles have been completed. The old RNLI lifeboat has been repainted and restored to its original condition along with the ex-RFA Launch roof being repaired.

We’re committed to improving your marina experience, so if you notice anything that needs attention at the marina, please report it to the Lock Office so we can put it right as soon as possible.

For your Safety & Security:

The repair to the road bridge at the entrance to the marina is now nearing its completion and we thank you once again for your cooperation and support while the work was carried out.

Staff News

Our experienced team has had a new addition, joining us from our sister marina Cobb’s Quay in Poole. Kelly Broadman has transferred over to Hythe as new Marina Operative and will help make sure the team continues to look after you and your boat to the highest standard.

Events Calendar

Back in August, the Raft Race was met with great success, and we hope to replicate what was the best year so far! Please keep a look out on our Facebook page and around the marina for details of any upcoming events. If you’d like to see a particular event next year, let us know using our online form. Don’t forget you can also join The Even Keel, our online boating community, and organise events and discuss the latest in boating with fellow berth holders.

Christmas is on the horizon and there will be festive treats and sights at the marina during December, including mulled wine and minced pies in the marina office, and Christmas carols in the village square. If you’re visiting the marina, be sure to join in the festive fun.

We look forward to another great season of events next year.
