Bray Marina Berth Holder News
We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for berthing with us this year, for what has been another busy season.
Over the last 12 months, we’ve carried out a number of improvement works across the marina including enhancing the restaurant parking area with secure perimeter fencing, installing new lighting and a safety barrier which is lowered when we have heavy plant operating near to the pedestrian area. We’ve also improved the area at the back of the restaurant with a level concrete surface, installed a new pedestrian walkway with a knee-high rail from the facilities block to the riverside car park and additional lighting.
Further improvement works will be carried out in this area over the winter period including refurbishment of the fencing in the bin area, allocation of storage space for restaurant items so they’re kept out of sight, and installation of a new bicycle parking area on the gravel for visiting cyclists.
We’ve also installed a new electric car charging unit in the riverside car park with plans to install more in the near future. In other parts of the marina, as well as carrying out our usual routine winter maintenance such as pressure washing the pontoons, replacing deck boards and brightening everything up, we’ll also be repainting and freshening the facilities blocks inside and out, replacing the planters and picnic benches and increasing our wild flower areas around the marina.
We have exciting news from one of our tenants Bray Marine Sales who will soon be opening a Yamaha Service Centre in conjunction with Bray Craning, expanding the support network available to Yamaha outboard owners along the River Thames. This new facility at Bray Marina comprises a sales display area and a fully fitted workshop, which is currently being set up to carry out servicing and maintenance of Yamaha outboards.
We’ll be continuously walking around the site and keeping an eye on your boat over the winter period and if we see anything that needs your attention, we will of course call you straight away. However, we do encourage you to pop in regularly to check on your boat, particularly inside the cabin and bilges, and ensure your battery levels are topped up. Don't forget you can request a service from us to check canopies, leads or even take a photo of your boat by completing a feedback form via your MyMDL account.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for your continued support and we look forward to another great season ahead!
