Martyn Sherratt

Marina Manager

Martyn has worked at Brixham Marina since 2010. He started as a Dockmaster before being promoted to Marina Manager and has also recently taken the helm at Torquay Marina. Before joining MDL, Martyn was a branch manager for Booker Wholesale. His focus is to keep customer service at a very high level and ensure our berth holders make memories every time they visit our marinas in Torbay.

John Osborne

Assistant Manager

John has worked at Torquay Marina since 2011, starting off as a Dockmaster and working his way up to the position of Marina Supervisor. As part of his job, John oversees Health and Safety and keeping the marina records up to date. John has 3 children, twin girls and a son. He served in the Army with the Royal Engineers, likes Formula One and "for his sins" is a devoted Arsenal FC fan.

Charlotte Woodley

Administrator

Studying travel and tourism, Charlie has a keen interest in the marine sector. Having worked for Torquay Marina since 2015, Charlie has settled into a reception and support administrator role within the company. With 14 year’s experience in retail, Charlie brings a variety of skills to the team helping us to deliver an exceptional level of customer service. Whilst off duty Charlie likes being out in the sunshine enjoying the stunning scenery that the English Riviera has to offer.

David Thomas

Night Dockmaster

Having spent 27 years at sea in the Merchant Navy, Dave came ashore and went into the hospitality industry running a 15-bedroom, bed & breakfast guest house in Dorchester for 6 years. When the owners retired, a job was offered at Portland Marina, and he became a night berthing master for just over 12 years before joining MDL in May 2021. Dave's spare time is spent mostly with his son and close family. He also has a Colvic fishing boat moored on the River Dart and enjoys sea fishing as well as clay pigeon shooting.

Guy Edwards

Marina Operative

Guy joined us at Torquay Marina in November 2024. This is his second stint with MDL having previously been a night Marina Operative at MDL Brixham Marina. Guy is also a volunteer of a Community Interest Company called 'HealthScape'. They work with the community by taking people into the sea for coastal and cold water activities, for mental health benefits.

James Owen-Bradley

Marina Operative

James has worked at Torquay Marina since August 2023 and you’ll spot his beard first and foremost on the pontoons when he is on his rounds. He previously had roles within the customer service industry and spent 9 years in the RAF. James currently hosts a crisp podcast, public boardgames nights at a local bar and performs in a 3 piece live acoustic band which travels up and down the country. In his spare time also loves to skateboard and socialising with friends and family.

Kelvin Daniels

Marina Operative

Kelvin has worked for MDL as a Dockmaster since January 2011. Kelvin is ex Fire Service, Harbour Patrol, and also worked in the motor trade.

Kerrie Sherratt

Administrator

Kerrie has worked at Torquay Marina since 2005, joining as a Receptionist and now working as a part time Office Administrator. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys. Summer days at the beach and having fun on their family boat is her favourite time of the year.

Sarah Harrison

Casual Marina Operative

Sarah worked at Torquay Marina part time from 2013 to 2022 as an Administration Assistant before returning as a Marina Operative on a seasonal basis in early 2024. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys reading, dancing, and walking her dog Molly.

Sarah Impey

Administrator

Sarah is our longest serving member of the Torquay team, as she started back in 1999 as Receptionist before becoming an Office Administrator. After having 2 children Sarah now works part time in the Marina office and likes to get involved with all the Marina parties and events. She also enjoys getting out on the pontoons when the sun is shining!

Simon Littlewood

Casual Marina Operative

Simon Joined MDL in 1990 and worked at Brixham Marina until 2016 when he changed to Torquay Marina. Simon has one daughter and two grandchildren who live in Australia. He's married to Lorraine and together they enjoy various activities.
