Barry Radband
Marina Manager
Barry started life at MDL as a dockmaster at Hamble Point Marina, from 1985 to 2000. He then returned in 2007 and progressed to Supervisor at Shamrock Quay in 2012, before becoming their Marina Manager in 2019.
Sonia Penney
Assistant Manager
Sonia started with MDL in 1997 at Outlook House as Purchase Ledger Assistant. She then moved to Mercury Yacht Harbour as Office Administrator in 1999, before finding her way to Shamrock Quay in the same role ten years later. Sonia was promoted to Assistant Manager in May 2021.
Agniezska Matlack
Seasonal Marina Operative
Agniezska first joined the team at Shamrock Quay as a summer seasonal worker in 2022. Since then, she has continued to support the marina as a casual team member while balancing her full-time role with British Airways. Her reliability, flexibility, and team spirit make her a valued part of the Shamrock Quay crew.
Andy Trim
Yard Supervisor
Andy joined Shamrock Quay way back in 1987, starting off as a Yard Hand before being promoted to Yard Supervisor.
Colin Cool
Yard Hand
Colin started as a Yard Hand at Shamrock Quay in 2003, and has remained at the marina ever since.
Jonathan Lawrence
Night Dockmaster
Jonathan is a keen boater and former RNLI volunteer. When he is not on the water, Jonathan can be found assisting our customers at Shamrock Quay.
Mark Elliott
Dockmaster
Mark has been a Dockmaster at Shamrock Quay since 2005.
Peter Salway
Seasonal Marina Operative
Peter started as a Night Dockmaster at Shamrock Quay in 2017, after briefly working at Saxon Wharf on a temporary basis. He's now rejoined the team on a seasonal basis.
Phoebe Andrew-Power
Seasonal Marina Operative
Phoebe joined MDL in the autumn on 2025, after living in Canada for three years. She fell in love with working on and around the water whilst working at a marina and as a surf instructor on the west coast of Vancouver Island. She has since got her RYA Competent Crew and VHF training, and in the future hopes to continue gaining certifications and travelling as a Deckhand on superyachts and science research vessels. Outside of work she enjoys surfing and scuba diving, and loves to crochet.
Sandor Nagy
Night Dockmaster
Sandor has been with MDL since 2013, working across sites including Hamble Point, Port Hamble, Mercury Yacht Harbour, Saxon Wharf and Cobb’s Quay. In July 2019, he became a Night Shift Lock Keeper at Hythe Marina before moving to Shamrock Quay on a permanent basis in 2026. Prior to joining MDL, he gained valuable experience in software development, banking, international trade, and road construction.
Thomas Mont
Dockmaster
Thomas started as a temporary member of staff in 2017, before being taken on full time as a Dockmaster that same year.
