Hamble Point Marina gets a major upgrade with new customer-focused office

We are delighted to announce the opening of the newly redesigned marina office at Hamble Point Marina, a key milestone in the £1.2m investment programme currently underway across the site. The office is part of ongoing improvements to the marina, building on the upgraded state-of-the-art customer facilities completed in June.

At the centre of the redevelopment is a fully integrated hub that brings the marina office, new restrooms and showers together under one roof. This combined space replaces the former standalone facilities block and provides our berth holders and visitors with convenient 24/7 access.

Designed to enhance the customer experience, the new marina office offers a bright, welcoming environment to make every interaction smoother and more enjoyable. A navigation-inspired feature wall highlights popular cruising destinations, helping customers plan their time on the water, while new illuminated fascia signage improves visibility and wayfinding after dark.

Comfortable soft furnishings, generously provided by Evocean, create a relaxed, welcoming space for customers waiting at reception. The interior also showcases photography by local artist Neil Williams, bringing a strong sense of place and community into the heart of the marina. In addition, the new Galley Store offers visiting boaters and berth holders’ convenient access to essential provisions and freshly ground Lavazza coffee.

Dominic Brown, Marina Manager at Hamble Point, comments: “The team and I are thrilled to see the new office and facilities open. A special thank you goes to Zander Ozelton, our Property and Estates Project Manager, whose hard work and oversight were instrumental in the successful delivery of the redevelopment.

Everything has been designed to make life easier and more enjoyable for our berth holders and visitors, from the improved layout to the modern finishes throughout. The addition of the Galley Store and the new customer-focused space really elevates the experience here at Hamble Point.

State-of-the-art facilities
The new toilets and showers, part of a dedicated £500,000 upgrade, offer contemporary individual cubicles, family-friendly spaces and dedicated accessible facilities. PIR (Passive Infrared) operated lighting and ventilation systems have been integrated to reduce energy consumption, boosting both sustainability and comfort.

In line with our wider environmental ambitions, the facilities also feature eco-friendly hand and shower wash supplied by Yorkshire-based Miniml Refills. The award-winning brand provides refillable cleaning products designed to eliminate single-use plastic and reduce waste.

Investing in the customer experience
This latest development forms part of our wider £1.2m investment at Hamble Point Marina, which has already delivered resurfaced roadways, improved waste management facilities, upgraded parking and enhanced security systems. Collectively, these works ensure the marina continues to offer high-quality services and facilities for all marina users.

Situated at the mouth of the River Hamble with direct access to the Solent, Hamble Point Marina is one of our most popular sites, attracting berth holders and visitors from around the world.

“At MDL, our customers are always at the heart of what we do,” says Tim Mayer, Sales and Marketing Director at MDL Marinas. “By continuing to invest in our facilities and adopting sustainable practices, we’re making sure that Hamble Point is not only fit for today, but for the future.”
