Windsor Marina Winter News

We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for berthing with us this year, for what has been another busy season. It’s been great seeing so many boaters, new and old, out enjoying the river. Our onsite tenants have also reported how busy they’ve been - Boat Discovery has been actively selling boats all season, many of which have taken a mooring with us, and AM Marine Trimming have been very busy offering their great service, supplying and repairing canopies.

We’ve also had some new faces at the marina, and we’re pleased to welcome Miles, Synan, Russell and Lokelani to the team, all of whom work between both Windsor and Bray marinas supporting the marina operations on an ad-hoc basis. They are keen to assist you in any way they can, so please stop and say hello when you see them.

Sadly, due to the recent weather, the river is now running very fast and we are displaying yellow boards. So, if you were thinking of getting some winter boating in when the sun comes out, please check the river conditions before you leave the house - we’d advise against going out when the river is running. As we draw the season to a close, many of you will be planning on wrapping your boats up for the winter or perhaps having them lifted for some winter maintenance. If so, Bray Craning based a few minutes up river at Bray Marina will be able to assist you with your winter maintenance plans.

By now, you'll have heard about the lock closures, but hopefully you'll still get a chance to take the boat out this winter, river conditions permitting. If you do get a chance to go out and don’t want to go too far, we’d recommend a meal at the Mediterranevm restaurant located at Bray Marina. If you haven’t already been there, you will not be disappointed.

We, the marina team, will be continuously walking the site and keeping an eye on your boats over the winter period and if we see anything that needs your attention, we will of course call you straight away. However, we do encourage you to pop in regularly to check on your boat, particularly inside the cabin and bilges, and ensure your battery levels are topped up. Don't forget you can request a service from us to check canopies, leads or even take a photo of your boat by completing a feedback from via your MyMDL account.

We have some exciting works going on at the marina this winter, so make sure you're opted in to receive our emails for updates regarding these improvements. To opt in, simply log into MyMDL and amend your preferences or contact the marina office via our online form. For the meantime, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for your continued support and we look forward to another great season ahead!
