Sparkes Marina #LivingTheBream Angling Competition

In association with Lowrance we would like to introduce the Sparkes Marina #LivingTheBream Angling Competition 2024! This is open to Sparkes & Northney Marina berth holders initially and if numbers are low by the 31st March, we will make it an open event with a small fee payable, it will take place on Sunday 28th April. Please email sparkes@mdlmarinas.co.uk FAO Sally/James to book your place. The rules are:

• Bream fishing only, strictly catch, measure (we will provide the fishing rulers), photo & release - longest fish wins (in the event of 2 x fish the same length the fish caught the earliest in the day wins)
• Register in advance by emailing sparkes@mdlmarinas.co.uk - max 30 boats (sorry no charter boats allowed).
• Book into the competition between 7am to 8am on the day at either Sparkes or Northney Marina.
• Match briefings at both sites are: Northney Marina 7am, Sparkes Marina 7.30am.
• Fishing 8.30am to 4.30pm - no limited fishing grounds.
• 1 x rod per angler – max. 3 x hooks
• ALL anglers/crew MUST wear a life jackets (max. 4 people per boat).
• With FREE Entry we have some BIG prizes on offer! 🥳 🤩

Prizes will be awarded to:

• 1st prize is an Elite FS Chart Plotter
• 2nd prize is a C Map Reveal Chart
• 3rd prize is a Lowrance Brand Pack with more prizes to be announced.
• As well as prizes for Best Lady & Best Junior!

There will be a WhatsApp group arranged on the day to send your photos to so make sure you have this downloaded on your mobile in preparation.

Refreshments will be provided before and after the competition at Sparkes Marina with the prize giving to be held around 1800pm TBC. If you need to berth at Sparkes overnight or on the day and after the event we will accommodate as many as we can on a first booked first in basis, we won't know how many free berths we will have until nearer the time though so please contact us in the week prior to the event and we will see if we can fit you in.
