Port Hamble Marina Berth Holder News

We’d like to start off by saying a massive thank you to all our berth holders for keeping your boat with us this year. As we near the end of what has been another busy season, it’s a good time to share with you some updates from the last few months and a look ahead to the new year.

We’ve continued with investment in marina infrastructure, including installation of a new power supply servicing the pontoons, main harbour building and estate. This gives long-term stability in our power supply as demand changes in time to prepare us for future developments such as electric vehicle charging. Some of you will notice new power models and lights along your walkways, as we continue to roll out efficient LED lighting and maintain the power equipment supplying your berths. Our next project of deck board replacement is due to be rolled out this winter, as well as refurbishing a number of finger pontoons and walkways across the marina.

This winter we look forward to welcoming many visiting berth holders from local MDL marinas where programs of dredging and marina reconfiguration are taking place over the coming months. If you plan to sail away or come ashore over the winter period, please continue to ‘book out’ from your berth online or notify the main office, to ensure we can accommodate fellow berth holders and make sure your berth is available for your return.

We’ve had a couple of changes in the team, with the departure of Jamie from our night shift who has taken on a new role within MDL, soon to be replaced by Robert, who joins us with a work history in the security and construction industries. Jessica took on the role of Administrator at the start of the summer and remains on hand to assist you with any account enquiries or if you need a helping hand with renewing your annual berth online in a few weeks.

This year, despite the unsettled weather, we’ve enjoyed several outings of the trolley of treats and welcomed many berth holders to the August bank holiday weekend BBQ. We plan to develop these events further next year and look forward to confirming details at the start of the season.
