Using navigation marks safely

Paul Glatzel from Powerboat Training UK talks us through how to use navigation marks safely when passing through harbours and ports. Paul looks at the differences between red (port) and green (starboard) lateral markers, the variance in sizes, shapes and numbers used, cardinal markers, and how charts and/or chart-plotters should also be used to safely navigate through channels.

Based at our Cobb's Quay Marina in Poole, Powerboat Training UK is a professional but family run RYA Training Centre running the full range of RYA Powerboat Training Courses, Motorboat Training Courses, Shorebased and PWC Training Courses.
