Shamrock Quay is a marina steeped in history, taking its name from the famous J-class yacht, Shamrock V, which was built on this site in 1931 to challenge for the America's Cup. This 255 berth marina is still a major centre for refit and boat building with many specialist trades on site, as well as a bar, restaurant, café and shops.

Following a £1.5 million refurbishment it now boasts a 70 metre specialist superyacht berth, a 60 metre visitor berth and a modern shower and toilet block featuring a purpose-designed facility for disabled berth holders.

Head down Southampton Water and there are numerous cruising opportunities available. There is plenty of racing action in the Solent and a weekend in the Channel Islands is easily possible. Southampton city centre is only a few minutes away and with access to the M3 nearby, the marina is within easy reach of London.

Boatyard Facilities

As well as providing first-class berthing and marina services, Shamrock Quay has a boatyard within it, perfect for when you need to carry out maintenance work or repairs on your boat. Besides storage ashore for over 200 boats, there is a 75 ton travel hoist and a 47 ton boat mover. All lifting at the yard is carried out by MDL's professional, highly qualified team.

There are also over 40 companies on site offering a wide variety of specialist services ranging from sail makers to engineers. There is also a well-stocked chandlery.
