The Sail Electric team design, distribute and install marine renewable energy, electric propulsion, power delivery and monitoring systems from a world-class supply chain. Our aim is to forge a future where we can all sustainably enjoy our time on the water, with minimal impact on our marine ecosystems. We provide a range of consultancy services. Whether you are considering next generation energy storage, replacing the diesel with electric propulsion or placing renewables. From an initial discussion we can detail the process, timeline and offer foresight to operate, recharge, and support you, to ensure you are safe, clean and self sustaining when out on the water. It's all in the planning.

Oceanvolt are World leaders in electric propulsion. The motors are in constant ‘stand by’ mode; you can engage the control lever at any time for instant forward or reverse propulsion. At sailing speeds over 6 knots Oceanvolt systems are able to generate significant power for recharging the battery bank by activating at the touch of a button.

There is something quite beautiful about an engine bay with an electric motor within. No oil, grease, diesel, smell, excessive noise. No start up anxiety, or range anxiety. Routine maintenance tasks are, checking the state of charge, and wiping with a clean cloth. Power, knowledge and control, all at your fingertips. Every boat is different, and the Sail Electric team provide a tailored service. Working ashore and afloat across the South and Southwest, we come to you, or you can come to us. We operate from base locations in North Devon, Falmouth, Plymouth and Hamble-le-Rice. We have in house design, power electrical and electronic services. We can provide GRP remodeling, stainless fabrication, specialist on the water services, from fault finding, to sea trials and training.
