Overview

Our focus

To provide an affordable, fixed cost, quality yachting solution to widen access to this previously exclusive and historically eye-wateringly expensive lifestyle. We provide the 'ownership' experience through membership on highly spec'd yachts and catamarans, which are only shared between a small group of members who have exclusive use and think of the yacht as their own.

FlexiSail also offers a specialist in-house members-only RYA sailing school and a comprehensive year-round social events programme.

Our business ethos

It is about introducing more people to the world of yachting by providing a supportive structure in which they can have fun and safely gain confidence, learn skills and qualifications to achieve their dreams, whilst making lifetime memories. In 2016 we were awarded the Marine Leisure Association's 'Customer Services Award'.

Location of our bases

We base all our yachts in the best marinas and at the best locations. This means that members always have a lovely environment with convenient free parking, excellent marina facilities, pontoon access to the berths at all states of the tide, and excellent access to the local sailing waters.

We have two bases on the Solent. Swanwick Marina on the River Hamble is set in the quiet upper reaches of the Hamble River in a beautiful and sheltered location out of the tidal flow and offers 24 hour access to the wonderful cruising grounds of the Solent. Lymington, our other base on the Solent, is a beautiful Georgian market town on the banks of the Lymington River and bounded by the New Forest to the north and east and the Solent to the south. Here you have full access to the Solent and is also a perfect springboard for exploring the West and the Jurassic Coast.

On the East Coast we have based our boat in Woolverstone Marina, situated in 22 acres of stunning parkland on the River Orwell and just a couple of miles downstream from Ipswich. Here the river opens out to give sheltered sailing amongst beautiful scenery. Being within easy reach of the open sea the marina is well located to explore the area. To the south you can cruise up the River Colne or Blackwater estuaries, discovering all the creeks as you go, or to the north the River Deben, where you can cruise all the way to Woodbridge.

Meanwhile, for training the Solent waters are simply the best training ground in the UK and at the same time provide more destinations within a short day sail than anywhere else. It is challenging but fun! All year round sailing, strong tides and significant tidal heights make navigational knowledge essential. Skippers experience everything from commercial shipping to navigating a small river.
