If you’re looking for a great day out this spring, don’t forget to pay a visit to one of the south’s premier new and used boat shows this May, with the Hamble Boat Show taking place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May. Located at Hamble Point Marina, this year’s show is set to be a great weekend of on and off the water activities with a huge range of boats on display.
The always-popular free family event will feature over 250 new and used boats for sale, with a great selection on show ranging from day boats to sports boats, cruisers and RIBs to suit a wide range of budgets. Visitors can take advantage of the wide range of products available from some of the UK’s leading marine companies, as well as speaking to expert brokers and finding out more about the other marine services available on-site before retiring to the Ketch Rigger restaurant and bar for some much-needed refreshment.
Visitors will also be treated to on-water displays, practical workshops in conjunction with the RYA Active Marina programme and dry stack demonstrations, as well as family entertainment for younger visitors.
Entry to and car parking at the show are both completely free.
The annual J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, organised by the Island Sailing Club, is a one-day yacht race around the Isle of Wight, an island situated off the south coast of England. The race regularly attracts over 1,700 boats and around 16,000 sailors, making it one of the largest yacht races in the world and the fourth largest participation sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon and the Great North and South Runs.
