#1 Receptionist - MDL Hamble Marinas

As an extremely busy and high profile visitor destination we aim to deliver the highest level of service and experience for our members and customers; demanding the very best from our team every day.

To help us deliver exceptional service we are seeking to recruit a Receptionist at MDL's Hamble Marinas.

This is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated and driven individual and you will be passionate about providing the best possible levels of customer service. You will be part of the front of house operation across the Hamble marinas and will strive to deliver outstanding levels of customer service and experience; exceeding expectations on a daily basis. .

The prime tasks and responsibilities for this role are:

  • To provide reception duties for Saltmakers House and its tenants including sorting and distributing incoming and out going mail.
  • To answer the office telephone, greet customers and assist with serving in the main office.
  • To provide a concierge service to customers and assist with customer events and other customer focused incentives.
  • Deliver operational process and systems in accordance with the quality management systems of the MDL Way

 Person Specification:

  • Professional, proactive, positive attitude and a provider of first class customer service.
  • Self motivated and able to work without supervision.
  • Effective communicator, both verbally with the team on the ground, stakeholders and with senior management and with clear concise written communication skills.

#2 Administrator - MDL Hamble Marinas

This is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated and driven individual. You will be passionate about providing the best possible levels of customer service and will have proven experience in administration. You will be part of the administration and front of house operation across the Hamble marinas and will strive to deliver outstanding levels of customer service and experience; exceeding expectations on a daily basis.

This is a full time position working a 40 hour week, Monday to Friday with alternate weekend working required.

The prime tasks and responsibilities for this role are:

  • To provide administration function for the Hamble marinas; including both Sales and Purchase Ledgers along with all appropriate reports and returns.
  • Operate a strict debt control policy in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
  • To provide reception cover and postal service for Saltmakers House.
  • Deliver operational process and systems in accordance with the quality management systems of the MDL Way.

  • Skilled administrator with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible, numerate and self motivated.

#3 Seasonal Marina Operatives - MDL Chichester Harbour Marinas

We currently require Seasonal Marina Operatives to join the Team working at MDL's Chichester Harbour Marinas.

You will work at both Northney and Sparkes Marinas which are high profile, busy sites, situated in Chichester Harbour, making them a popular visitor destination. Our aim is to deliver the highest level of service to our customers, which demands the best from our team every day.

The role will include:

  • Assisting serving customers on our fuel berth.
  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • Assisting in actively marketing and promoting the marina and associated services.
  • Assisting in carrying out general maintenance on the marina. 

This is a part time, fixed term position, working 36 hours, Friday to Monday from 23rd March to 30th September 2018.

The key requirements for this role are:

  • An ability to deliver the highest standards of customer service
  • Self motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Current computer literacy
  • A practical, resourceful and common sense approach
  • Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible and positive 'can do' attitude
  • Ability to swim

Company uniform and full on-job training will be provided.

#4 Assistant Administrator (6 months) - MDL Chichester Harbour Marinas

We currently require an Assistant Administrator to join the Team working at MDL's Chichester Harbour Marinas on a 6 month fixed term contract.

You will work at both Northney and Sparkes Marinas which are high profile, busy sites, situated in Chichester Harbour, making them a popular visitor destination. Our aim is to deliver the highest level of service to our customers, which demands the best from our team every day.

The role will include:

  • Meeting and greeting customers at the Marina Receptions
  • Actively responding to enquiries and berth sales enquiries
  • To assist in the administration of the site, to include maintaining all computer records, raising invoices / credit notes, statements and month end procedures in accordance with laid down procedures.  
  • Support the Administrator to manage a strict site debt control policy in accordance with company procedure.   
  • Assist with daily banking and associated records, Purchase Ledger invoice coding and despatch for payment.
  • To provide secretarial assistance when required.
  • Assist to market and promote all services associated with the site.

This is a full time position working 40 hours per week Friday to Tuesday from 1st April to the 30th September 2018.

The key requirements for this role are:

  • Self motivated and able to work with limited supervision
  • An ability to deliver the highest standards of customer service
  • A knowledge and enthusiasm for boats and boating is desirable.
  • Sound computer literacy & administration skills
  • A practical, resourceful and common sense approach
  • Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible and positive 'can do' attitude
  • Willingness to undertake further training and responsibilities.
