#1 Marina Operative - Woolverstone Marina

Marina Developments Ltd are seeking to recruit a full time Marina Operative at Woolverstone Marina. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to join the Marina Team at Woolverstone delivering excellent levels of customer service.  The applicant must be dynamic, personable and maintain an eye for detail.  Responsible for the day to day running of the marina, this position will offer the successful applicant a varied and challenging role.

The role wil include:

  • Maintaining a visible presence with regular patrols of the site to ensure the safety and security of all vessels, pontoons, buildings and persons within the marina boundaries
  • Provide a meet and greet service to all members and visitors, dealing with initial enquiries
  • Managing berth allocations so as to maximise income and efficiency
  • Carry out boat lifting operations, in accordance with the company Health and Safety policy
  • Carry out routine maintenance, ensuring the site remains safe, secure, clean, tidy and well landscaped at all times
  • Record keeping and updating of our operating systems

This is a full time position working a 12 hour shift on 2 days/2 nights 4 off rota pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.

The essential requirements for the role are:

  • An ability to deliver the highest standards of customer service.
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Self motivated and able to work without supervision
  • A practical, resourceful and common sense approach
  • Enthusiastic, friendly with a positive `can do` attitude and flexible approach
  • Computer literacy, including social media & administration skills
  • Ability to carry out general maintenance tasks
  • A practical knowledge of boats and boating
  • Able to swim.

#2 Marina Operative - MDL Hamble Marinas

Situated at the mouth of the River Hamble; Hamble Point and Port Hamble Marinas along with Mercury Yacht Harbour are considered to be its flagship sites. As an extremely busy and high profile visitor destination we aim to deliver the highest level of service and experience for our members and customers; demanding the very best from our team every day.

To help us deliver exceptional service we are seeking to recruit a Marina Operative at MDL Hamble Marinas.

You will be passionate about providing the best possible levels of customer service and will put the customer’s needs first every time. You will deliver an outstanding customer experience; exceeding expectations on a daily basis.

This is a full time position working a 4 on 4 off shift rotation from 7am to 7pm covering a 42 hours per week. You’ll be covering marina operations and boat yard operations as required.

You will be flexible towards work location and will be required to work across the three Hamble locations to suit demand and business needs.

The prime tasks and responsibilities for this role are:

  • Organise the berthing of boats to yield maximum occupancy, ensuring that all payments for services are received in accordance with the company’s finance policy.
  • To assist with lifting, blocking, pressure washing, towing, mast step and unstep and relaunching of boats.
  • To carry out routine maintenance; ensuring the marina remains safe, secure, clean, tidy and well landscaped at all times.
  • To ensure the highest levels of customer service and experience at all times.
  • Deliver operational process and systems in accordance with the quality management systems of the MDL Way.
