Queen Anne's Battery Visitor Guide
Plymouth is well known as a City of the Sea and has played a major role in seafaring voyages around the world. Queen Anne's Battery (QAB) is therefore a popular marina with long-term berth holders and many visitors during the summer months. Offering outstanding facilities for yachtsmen and motor cruisers alike, it has 235 permanent berths for boats up to 18 metres and a visitors' area with alongside pontoon berthing. Besides a chandlery, brokerage and yacht charter, there is a provisions shop selling essential items as well as a café, bar and restaurant. QAB is also home to the Royal Western Yacht Club and many international short-handed yacht races start and finish here, including the single-handed Transatlantic Race, the Round Britain Race and the finish of the prestigious Rolex Fastnet Race. more about Queen Anne's Battery...

The Plymouth tourist office markets the city under the slogan "Spirit of Discovery", a reference to the British seafarers who have sailed from Plymouth to uncharted... more about Plymouth...
