Hamble Point Marina Visitor Guide

Hamble Point Visitor Guide - Sunset over Hamble Point MarinaFor sheer location alone, Hamble Point Marina is hard to beat. At the mouth of the River Hamble, with easy access to the world famous waters of the Solent, a magnet for competitive sailors from around the globe, it's a favourite with racers and cruising yachtsmen alike. Directly south of the Hamble is the Isle of Wight, with Cowes only a few miles away. There are plenty of spaces to explore around the island's coastline such as Yarmouth, Newtown Creek and Bembridge. Hamble Point is also ideally located for visiting our other marinas in and around the Solent area. To the east lie Chichester Harbour and historic Portsmouth, where visitors can gain a fascinating insight into our naval heritage. Travel west and explore the quiet waters of Beaulieu River, Lymington and Poole Harbour or, further on, the spectacular sailing in the West Country. more about Hamble Point Marina...

Amongst those who have had associations with Hamble are names such as C.B. Fry and his cricketing friends W.G. Grace, the author Neville Shute and aviators Juan de la Cierva, A.V. Roe and Bert Hinkler. Given its geographical location, with fresh water... more about Hamble...
